Spring has Sprung!

Spring has sprung and we're outside as much as we can possibly be! By the end of the day, he's covered from head to toe in the wonderful Virginia red dirt (that doesn't come out) and I'm having to learn very quickly that being a girly girl doesn't work when you have an "all-boy." Yes, I'm digging out dirt from underneath my manicured nails. I'm finding grubby clothes I don't mind getting dusty hand and footprints all over. A pony tail has become my new hair style of choice in the evening outside (BUT NO, I'm NOT wearing mom-jeans!).

He's enjoying the "Mister" Bunny and "Mister" Eggs with an egg hunt at preschool this week. (Again, too cute to correct him and tell him it's Easter and not Mister.) He also has requested his hair to be "spikey" so a new haircut was in order to assist with his chosen style. (This reassures me that I still have a small influence on my boy!)

E: "Look mommy! A bug!"
ME: "Yeah, E, a ladybug."
E: "Mommy, what haaaaaappened?"
ME: "Well, E, you squashed him. He died."
E: "Mommy, fix him."
...ME: "I can't, E, he died."
E: "Mommy, ladybug in heaven with Jesus?"
um....
