A Full Weekend

First, and most importantly, we want to report that Sally is doing well and may get to come home from the hospital on Tuesday or Wednesday. She's still in a lot of pain and has a long road of recovery, but we are thankful for the good report and appreciate your prayers.

Lindsay turned 26 on Friday and dad is the big 6-0 (how did that happen?!) so we had a time of celebrating birhtdays at Smith Mountain Lake. It was a blast to literally get away from it all and just relax. We had a great cookout and a relaxing 2 hour boat ride around the lake. It was hot but beautiful weather and of course we all were entertained by Elijah, who loves to explore new surroundings.

We live in a newly developed neighborhood with minimal - or very young - trees so Elijah was fascinated by this huge tree.

Matthew & Elijah waving "hi" to each other.

Peeking over the top of the shower. Hmm, I wonder how he got that tall.

For those of you who know me, you will find this comical. A. I don't like to cook. B. I have been accused of being (slightly) OCD (obsessive compulsive for those without counseling degrees). My child loves to get pots and pans out of the drawer of the stove and this small little pot is his favorite. It doesn't matter how many times a day I put it back, he always goes and digs it out. Ladies & Gentlemen, what's more is I watched my son put these toys in the pot, then take them out, one by one. Over and over. Hmm.... :)

You can never have too many cars!

A rough morning?! There's a cheerio in your hair, son.
