We're well on our way into 2011 and Little Man is so full of life and changing and developing everyday! He loves stickers and puts them everywhere! The other day I went to wash my throw and found 3 of them stuck to the blanket. He's still infatuated with cars, trucks and trains and Papa was the hero of the week when he brought home one of each of the monster trucks from the Happy Meal toys (just one of the perks of having your Papa manage McDonald's)! Gone are the days of baby talk, and full blown sentences are here to stay. His vocabulary grows daily and he's learning new words all the time.
Some recent favorite statements:
"I push mommy's buttons." (It had been a rather trying day)
"I a turd factory." (His father taught him that)
ME: "E, do you have a happy heart?" E: "I happy heart right there in E's body."
ME: "E, mommy can't get you out of your carseat. Let's pray and ask Jesus to help us."
E: "Help us Jesus!"
ME: "Yay! We got the carseat unstuck. Let's thank Jesus for helping us!"
E: "Thank you Jesus!"
ME: "E, what did you learn at Sunday School?"
E: "JESUS!"
ME: "Do you love Jesus?"
E: "Love Jesus! He E's friend!"
In other news, the month of February officially kicks off my month-long birthday celebration. I came to work on February 1st to find my very own birthday advent calendar from a co-worker. My office was already decorated with streamers, a birthday crown and a glittery "C" on my computer. Watch out world... :)
