Chalk it up to indepedence, or maybe his "maturity" is starting to kick in and he's forming opinions, but all of a sudden Elijah, who used to be known as "will-eat-everything-except-baked-beans" has become a picky eater.

He's literally turning up his nose and closing his eyes when I put things before him that he doesn't want or like. There are some days where all he'll eat for dinner is cheese and watermelon. Seriously?! Does he know the USDA daily dietary needs? Obviously not. Much to my demise, I'm trying to trick him by sneaking healthy foods in with a bite here and there - only for him to start chewing and pull out whatever he doesn't want or like. OH BROTHER! I also tried to give him the gummy kid vitamins - they taste like tangerine and are coated in sugar (how can that be a vitamin?!) but he literally chews one time and spits it out. Once it's out of his mouth, he ensures he won't have to endure it again by tossing it to one of the beggers below.

Here's a great shot of him diving head first into the ball pit. Sometimes he just lays there, face down in a pool of balls, and starts jibber-jabbing. The kid just cracks us up!
