Welcome Spring!

It's the first day of spring and what do you know - we saw 4 deer in our backyard grazing just before dusk. It's the first time we've ever seen deer anywhere near our house. Elijah didn't really care, but we were fascinated.









Mr. Independent is learning to feed himself with a spoon. You can see by the pictures below what usually results. I am still scrubbing mashed potatoes out of his hair, ears, fingers...

While he still attacks crawling like it's nobody's business, he's slowly starting to explore the idea of 'walking'. At this point, it is more likely for him to choose a chair or his high chair to push along and follow behind.

When he gets tired he likes to crawl up in his bean bag and watch a movie - usually only 5 or 10 minutes - but this has become the nightly routine just before bed. Tonight he decided he was done and crawled down from his chair and crawled straight to his room. Now if only he could learn to change his own diaper...
