What's a sippee cup?

He's all boy. Which is not something we're complaining about. But at almost 9 months old, he's absolutely into everything. He pulls up on the baby gate at the top of the stairs and bangs and shakes as hard as he can. He knows the little blue button on top has something to do with opening the gate (don't worry - you have to squeeze them on both sides - not to mention we have it rigged with a bungee cord for extra security). He wants to get into the refrigerator every time the door is open - and even when it's not. He bangs on the door, or on the stove and can even open the bottom drawer. He pulls himself up on the wall. Yes, the wall. He's constantly on the go.

Despite the fact that he REFUSES to smile at Romp & Roll, he is usually squealing with delight. He's got the funniest facial expressions - He loves to scrunch up his nose and breathe heavy. He is sucking his top lip in, probably to comfort those aching gums. And his favorite is to stick his lips out as far as they'll go and spit and spray everywhere. We've been showered on numerous occasions.
If we were unclear about his little personality emerging, he has more than proven his point when it comes to meal time. He bangs his hand on the high chair tray for one of two reasons: either to not be fed from a spoon so we'll put food on his tray he can feed himself or because he doesn't like what we're feeding him.
Sippee cups are another whole story. We've tried about 4 different varieties of sippee cups. He refuses to use any of them. While he's still more than willing to take a bottle, he will have nothing to do with the sippee cup - usually turning it upside down and shaking its contents all over himself. But don't be fooled. It's not that he can't - it's wholeheartedly that he won't. In fact, to prove his independence, he will drink from a 'big boy' cup all day long. He'd much rather you hand him water or juice in a cup like mommy or daddy use. He can hold it himself and drink like a champ. That's our boy...

Thats so funny! Jett does the same thing! I have tried ALL of them and we always resort to the same thing. Not so bad until he dumps it all over himself!
