The past two weeks at home with you have been the most wonderful weeks I've had since we first brought you home. I have enjoyed every minute. All the new discoveries - crawling, pulling up on things, trying so hard to pick up finger foods - you have captivated my heart and I love watching you play and learn.
Tomorrow I go back to work, but there is something different about 2009. This year I am committed to prayer. Praying for daddy, praying for you, praying for our family, praying for those around us, praying for those in need. And one of the most important prayer requests I am bringing to God is the opportunity to be with you more. I am committed to praying for God to open doors and lead us.
In the meantime, I'll share some of your new accomplishments. You want nothing to do with being still. You are on the go all the time! You are pulling up on EVERYTHING and standing as long as you can.
You are pushing the limit as far as you can. When you hear "no no" you carefully put your hand toward whatever it is you're not supposed to touch and look out of the corner of your eye to see if we're watching. You little stinker - we see you!
Sleeping is still overrated, apparently, so you may nap once or twice for 20 to 45 minutes. But, praise the Lord, bedtime hasn't been such a nightmare the past few nights.
