The tears come for me, though, as I struggle to try to say goodbye. It's hard to believe just 9 days ago we were with her. And now she's gone. She had such a great time holding Elijah. He napped on her lap for two hours. She said she was in heaven. Now she really is.
Please pray for our family as we deal with the emotions, arrangements and everything else over the next few days. We'll be in Tennessee. Mostly pray for Poppy, who, after 55 years, has lost his bride. He absolutely adored her.
It's hard to understand how an illness can take away the person you love. She had been 'gone' for awhile but now knowing there's no longer even a body to hug is hard to grasp.
Goodbye Nanny. I miss you already. We shared our birthdays just a week a part. You were always such a rock for our family. You've been a pillar of strength and determination. So much of my hard-headedness and say-what-I-think attitude was learned from you. You're no longer here with us but your legacy will remain. We are your heritage and we'll carry you with us.
I love you.

The pictures are amazing. You'll treasure them always. I especially like the one where they're looking at each other and the one where she's kissing him. Love you, C-Bear.
I am so sorry to hear about your Nanny's passing. We lifted your family up in prayer last night at church and choir practice. Wayne & I will be praying for you in the days ahead.
We love you guys...

The pictures brought tears to my eyes. What a blessing to have her spend that time with Elijah. I know those pictures will be cherished.
