What a Day...

It started out good...we were having so much fun and you were having such a good morning. I even caught you smiling on camera (sorry the pictures are sideways - what is going on?!)...

You were bright eyed and chattering away. Playing with toys and belly laughing at peek-a-boo.

And then mommy took you to your blasted doctor appointment. I'm happy to report you are 13 pounds and 7 ounces and 23 inches tall. You rank in the 25th percentile in weight (chunky!) and the 5th percentile in height. You've got a little catching up to do but the doctor was so pleased to see how much weight you've gained. He was so proud of you sitting up, trying to stand, and your undeniable strength. We can start cereal and other baby food...but he also said we can wait. I think we'll wait a few more weeks. He also said you rolling over both ways is usually not seen until 6 months - oh buddy boy - you're already advanced. :)

But then we had to get shots. I usually only give you one at a time...but we are behind so you got two today and it was awful. The first one you didn't even flinch...and the second one you absolutely wailed. I teared up seeing you in so much pain.

It has had an affect on you all day, too, because you've only wanted to be held. I'm so sorry, little love.

Here's your picture with Aunt Lindsay yesterday...she hadn't seen you in over a week and stopped by after school.

I think you were so disgusted with pictures you decided not to even open your eyes!
