A Fun Friday

Elijah,

You're feeling much better - so much like your happy little self today. You still have a little rattle in your chest but you were so good today, laughing, playing and having fun.

We've gotten some new board books with big colorful pictures and you love to look at them and hold them.

And seriously, son, that belly of yours! It's hilarious! Daddy and I wrap our fingers around your increasingly chubby legs. Your thighs are getting thicker and thicker. And let's not forget those cheeks! In my opinion, it's just more circumfrance area for me to kiss! You're so sweet you should be edible!

I thanked God for the meticulous schedule you have been on now for almost a month. You are the best baby! You get fussy around 9 p.m. and we start our bedtime routine, getting on the jammies, playing the lullabies, and giving your last bottle. You're usually asleep no later than 10 p.m. and we typically have to wake you by 8 a.m. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR LOVE OF SLEEP! Once you're up for the day, you like to play. Usually for an hour or two and then it's naptime. You take a good 1 1/2 to 2 hour nap and more play time. You love going for walks, reading books, listening to your music and playing in the 'jungle gym' that used to be our living room. Another afternoon nap and we usually have to wake you after 2 hours. You stay up for most of the evening, playing and having fun with daddy and me.

So silly - slappin' that knee

Hands - still my favorite toy

Oh so funny faces
