I was SO HAPPY after we came home from celebrating Aunt Lindsay's 25th birthday! Happy Birthday, Aunt Lindsay.

My buddy Brody. We got to play today. Thanks Miss Sherry and Miss Sierra for watching me.
We're destined to be super star athletes. Broday has a few extra pounds on me, but he is 2 months older.
Two VERY cool dudes
Elijah,
I was recently reminded of the gift we have been given through your adoption with pictures of another placement ceremony of some friends of ours who just adopted their second child. It brought to mind the first moment we laid eyes on you.
I remember standing in the hallway outside the lawyer's office. I was so nervous. So many thoughts ran through my mind. What would you look like? Would we immediately bond? Would I feel like your mommy? Would you feel like my son?
When we walked in and Sara was holding you, I couldn't take my eyes off you. I was shaking. Tears welled up in my eyes. As she placed you in my arms, she was smiling. I tried so hard to be conscious of her too. I wanted her to know how grateful I was. Truly grateful.
She recently wrote us a letter. One we'll share with you when you're older. She just had a birthday and got her driver's license. She said she's doing well, and yet I can't help but wonder about her. She loved the picture we sent of your arms up in the air - she called it your Super Man pose. I pray for her. Just as He showed Himself faithful to us with the gift of you, I pray He shows Himself faithful to her with the gift she gave. You have forever bonded these two separate families. She shares your blood; we share your life.
It is a day I will never forget. Each day you bless my life. I fall more in love with you every time I stare at your sweet face.
You are growing so quickly - laughing and cooing at us. Trying so hard to communicate. You respond when we talk to you - by laughing or smiling or making noises back.
You are sleeping like a champ, now that we let you sleep on your stomach. 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. the night before last and 11:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. last night. Funny thing is, we're sleeping less because Daddy is a nervous wreck with you on your belly.
You'll be 11 weeks old tomorrow. My how the time flies...
