Sum Sum Summer Time

Elijah,

We had a full day today with a baby shower to welcome Michaela, adopted from China by her mommy Michelle, a birthday party and dinner with your friend Grady. You're such a good baby and travel so well. That is except for the explosion episode in the middle of the mall.

Yes, you were hungry so we parked on a bench outside the Pretzel Maker and I gave you your bottle. You were finished and I was just trying to get you to burp and then it happened. Projectile vomit (you cannot even classify it as 'spit up') all over you, me and the bench. And then I heard the drip, drip, dripping - it was dripping on the floor as well. Oh my, what a scene.

The good news is I was able to purchase the most adorable romper and matching canvas tennis shoes from Baby Gap before the drama unfolded. Please try not to throw up on this one.

You absolutely adore sleeping on your side so when I'm close by this is how you nap. Your new boppy pillow allows for the perfect slumbering position and you are just the cutest with your little arms tucked underneath your sweet cheek.

You are enamored by your new Bumbo seat. It helps you sit up straight so you can see everything going on around you. Even still, you get frustrated because you can't move. You wave your arms and lift your head and look like you just want to take off into a crawl. Slow down, baby boy, your time will come.

For now, you are still my little one. Growing and changing with each day, smiling and cooing and interacting and playing. With each new discovery I am reminded of how God has blessed us. You are such a miracle and I don't want to forget that. You are my heart's desire, my love, my son.

The Bumbo's are great! My sister had one for my niece, and she loved it too!
