New Tricks

Elijah,

You're getting so big, so fun and so interactive. You love to flail your hands at your toys, trying so hard to grab hold of them. You cling to shirts, blankets and mommy's necklaces. You like to try to hold your bottle and you even grabbed your pacifier.

Your sweet little cheeks are so kissable and we just can't get enough of you. There are still times when I look at you have say outloud, "I can't believe you're mine!" You are such a little miracle and you just bless my life. It thrills me to know that when you look and me and daddy you recognize our faces now along with our voices.

You love to punch your fists in the air, or at one of us and you swing your arms and kick your feet. You get so excited and can entertain yourself when in your bouncey seat or swing. You can even kick your feet hard enough to make yourself bounce in your seat. And of course, we are so proud that you can stick out your tongue! Yes, in a few years, we will say, "Young man, don't stick your tongue out at me," but for now we are instigating it because it's so cute! You mimmick me when I stick my tongue out at you and you do it right back as if to say, "See mommy, I can do it too!"

When daddy comes home from work, your eyes light up as he talks to you and kisses you. One of your favorite things to do with him is your 'ab crunches'. You grab hold to his fists and you strain to lift yourself up. You love to exercise with dad!

We love you so much and are so thankful for the way you have blessed our lives. Every day is a new adventure filled with new discoveries and we look forward to each new milestone. I want to soak in every moment with you.
