The weather has been absolutely beautiful! It's the kind of weather when you can go to sleep with the windows open. That resulted in me awakening to the sound of lawnmowers running, birds chirping and the slow and steady ring of a wind chime in a nearby neighbor's yard.
I've been up for awhile, sipping on the most delicious caramel latte (Starbucks has nothing on the Barnhouse Bistro - I am thoroughly enjoying my espresso machine I got for Christmas), reading scripture and enjoying the sounds of spring.
It's late enough in the morning now that children have made their way out of bed and skipped lounging around watching Saturday morning cartoons to head outdoors and enjoy a bike ride or a game of pickup basketball in the driveway.
All creation cries to Him...I'm not trying to over-spiritualize the situation, but sometimes it's a challenge to give glory to God. When the clouds are so thick you can't see, when the storm is raging around you, it can be difficult to worship.
In the calming breeze of spring, basking in the glow of the morning sun, it seems so easy to give thanks.
"Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name." Psalm 103:1
