City Lights...

You've got to love New York City. The hustle, bustle, and activity. So much to do, so little time to conquer it all. I managed a walking tour of downtown Manhattan, the always laborious subway ride, knock-off shopping in China Town, an off-broadway open mic show, and of course, the fluffiest, creamiest, to-die-for cheesecake.

This is the infamous bull, best known for its role in the movie "Hitch" (one of mine and Ed's favorites). I liken this picture to me being the kind of girl who likes to grab life by the horns.

This is called the "Trinity Root." It is actually a bronze statue of actual tree roots that was uprooted during the destruction of 9/11. I am happy to report The World Trade Center Site is abuzz with activity. The subway is up and running underneath the gaping hole where the twin towers stood. Construction has begun on the memorial tower that will stand to honor the lives lost on that day.

The ever-recognizable Brooklyn Bridge. I literally walked halfway across it. (I had no idea there was a walking/bike path.) The water is as disgusting as they say - green, slimy and who knows what lies beneath.
